Bad Times at the El Royale is said to take place in the 1960s at a rundown hotel, centering on a cast of characters whose own shady agendas will violently collide: “Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell.”

The film brings a star cast including Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok), Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Tag), Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Hell or High Water), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades), Cynthia Erivo (Widows), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) and Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim Uprising).

Written, directed, and produced by Oscar-nominee Drew Goddard (The Martian, Netflix’s Daredevil, X-Force), this will be a reunion for Goddard and Hemsworth who collaborated on the 2012 hit horror film The Cabin in the Woods.

Bad Times at the El Royale will hit theaters on October 5th.

Plot details for the new Men in Black movie are unknown, but the film is said to take place in London and centers around a “new combination” of characters and is more of an ensemble film than a duo like the first three movies.

He will be joined in the reboot by Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Silicon Valley), Tessa Thompson (HBO’s Westwork, Thor: Ragnorak), and Liam Neeson (Taken).

Note: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not be involved in the project.

Men in Black is getting another reboot.  This time, overseas and with a new cast.

Secret missions.  Aliens.  Cool weapons. Putting away bad guys.  Sign me up says Liam Neeson.  The spinoff movie will include Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and others.  The movie will be directed by F. Gary Gray, who recently directed The Fate of the Furious.  Steven Spielberg is the Executive Producer.

The film will be set overseas with a new cast and is slated to open June 14, 2019.

The original Men in Black opened in 1997 and starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.  The movie grossed $250M domestically.
